The spa town of Merano

Stroll through the vibrant "favourite town" of Sissi.

If you want to follow in the footsteps of Empress Sissi of Austria, then you absolutely must go to Meran: she loved the spa town on the River Passer and Trauttmansdorff Castle with its beautiful gardens. Meran is also known for its spa promenade, the medieval arcades (yes, you can shop well here!), the Tappeinerweg (it connects the city centre with the village of Dorf Tirol) and, last but not least, its thermal baths. The latter is located right in the centre and is a true place of peace and relaxation with its 25 pools and various saunas. It is therefore worth taking a closer look at this Mediterranean-inspired town with an Alpine flair!
