Get to know the smallest town in the southern Alps.

If you have had enough of big cities and would rather stroll through a small, charming town and experience a bit of history at the same time, then we suggest the smallest town in the Alpine region: Glurns. With just under 900 inhabitants, it is even one of the smallest towns in the world. Discover the only preserved closed fortification in the Alps, the arcades, stately mansions and churches and, during Advent, the Glurns Christmas market. It is also home to Italy’s first whisky distillery. Small but mighty: this statement definitely applies to this small town in the Upper Vinschgau Valley!
