If you are looking for a place where one adventure follows the next, then we recommend a trip to the Schnalstal Valley, or rather to the Alpin Arena Schnals. As the name suggests, it’s all about sports here. But you can also just relax at the Vernagt Reservoir and let yourself be enchanted by the lighting effects in the lake (always an experience, especially in autumn).
Here you can follow in Ötzi’s footsteps, go hiking and mountaineering in summer and winter, ski on a glacier and take part in a sheep drive (called Transumanz) in late summer. And if you then let your gaze wander to the 126 three-thousand-metre peaks, you will become quite awestruck and gradually begin to fall in love with this rustic valley.
