Explore your surroundings on daily hikes and walks and cycle through the entire Vinschgau Valley – this is best achieved using the Etsch Radweg cycle route which runs along a Roman road, the ancient Via Claudia Augusta. But there are other cultural attractions which you will also be tempted to explore. How about a visit to the medieval town of Glurns? The smallest town in South Tyrol, this settlement still has its own perfectly preserved medieval city walls. Churburg is another interesting place to visit for young and old. Here you can discover more about knights and their ladies, and what life was like in a real castle. There is a large armoury with a fascinating collection of more than 50 suits of armour. Elsewhere in the Vinschgau Valley are countless churches and monasteries with yet more amazing sights to see. A special insider tip is the Vigilius chapel very close to our house, which you are welcome to visit privately.
